Threads of Land is a collection of 14 unique, handcrafted garments that celebrate the Stò:lõ people's profound connection to the land. Each piece, dyed with natural pigments, tells stories of our ancestors' deep understanding of the intricate web of life. Using foraged materials from the Pacific Northwest, alongside ethically sourced linen, cotton, silk, and responsibly harvested animal hides and furs, the collection showcases a natural palette of vibrant colors drawn from local plants. Design elements are inspired by the flowing movement of water, symbolizing the continuous cycle of life. Key pieces include contemporary ribbon dresses, the MMIW red dress, and statement garments adorned with seaweed necklaces, large bark belts, foraged feathers, copper netting, and sculpted wearable structures. “Threads of Land” embodies the philosophy "We are the land, and the land is us," honoring our ancestors, celebrating the beauty of nature, and promoting sustainable slow fashion.
